Giving

Giving to EBC is Simple & Secure

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACH ABOUT GIVING?

Giving acknowledges God as the giver of everything we have (James 1:17). Everything we have comes from God; He has entrusted us to be His stewards. Financial giving to the church and supporting the ministry is simply one way to respond to the gifts He has given us. Giving reflects our trust that God will provide for us (Matthew 6:19-24). Giving also allows us to be active participants in God’s work on earth (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

WHAT DOES “TITHE” MEAN? WHAT DOES “OFFERING” MEAN?

The Bible has a guideline for giving called the Tithe (Leviticus 27:30). Tithing is giving 10% of our earnings back to God. An offering is a gift given to a specific need above and beyond our tithe.
